Nome Iditarod Finish
Join the celebration as Iditarod Dog Sled Race mushers arrive in Nome after
nine days and 1049 miles Ski-plane to the last check point
before
Nome. Learn about the history of this amazing race and the numerous hardships
mushers and their dog teams overcome.
Immerse yourself in native Eskimo culture by experiencing traditional Eskimo
dances and ways of life. Shift from the traditional to the modern and you'll
find yourself hitting a round of golf on the Bering Sea!
Top this tour off with a day trip to Alaska’s breadbasket - the Matanuska Valley
- following your return from Nome. Here, we’ll drive up to Hatcher Pass for a
view you won’t soon forget. Plenty of time for walking during the day and
viewing the Northern Lights in the evening.
Optional snowmobile and dog sled tours are easily arranged upon request.
Winter is definitely not a time for hibernating!
