Kobuk Caribou Migration Tour
Itinerary | Details and Price | Print Version
Fly from Anchorage to Kotzebue where we take a bush plane to the small remote
village of Kiana. In Kiana, enjoy four days in a
charming lodge overlooking the Kobuk River. Now the fun really begins!
Kiana is also the gateway to the Kobuk Valley National Park, home of the 500,000
strong Northwestern Arctic Caribou herd. Journey out daily with professional
guides to witness bulls, cows, and calves traveling south to their winter
feeding ground.
Also note that there is an excellent chance of witnessing a dazzling northern
lights show, unlike anything you've seen in the lower 48.
This is truly one of nature's most awe inspiring sites and one which you'll
remember for a long time!
